Climbing Alaid and volcanoes in Kuril islands booking available
Our coming Far East expedition - climbing the most interesting volcanoes of the Kuril Islands, the base camp is organized on the boat. For ascents, the group lands on the island for 1-2 days, after the ascent, returns back to the boat and sails to the next island. This combined program includes an interesting route along the Pacific Ocean, with a visit to the most inaccessible corners of the Kuril Ridge and climbing the most significant and highest volcanoes. Volcano Alaid is the highest mountain in the Sakhalin Region; in the modern Russian literature it was chosen as the scene in the Strugatsky brothers' science fiction novel "The White Cone of Alaid" Of course, this place is fantastic even without any novels - one such journey will leave you with the impressions and memories for whole your life!
