mountain climbing

This combined program consists of acclimatization ascent to Layla – an easy to climb mountain, located in the Svanetian Mountain Range in Georgia, the main climbing part of the program is climbing Mount Ararat - the biblical mountain, the legendary cradle of the European civilization. This program is built on the principle of a smooth altitude gain, which is the key point, on which depends the success of the climbing Mount Ararat. The program does not present much technical difficulties, although it requires a certain physical form - the height of Mount Ararat surpasses the mark of 5000 meters, which should be considered seriously. mountain climbing

Perhaps, this route will become an alternative to the crowded Normal route to Mount Kazbek via the Meteo Station, but so far, the Devdorak Gorge remains in completely original and untouched condition, preserving the charm of the pristine mountain nature. The complexity of the route lies solely in its autonomy - there is no trail or crazy crowds of tourists and mountaineers on the route through the Devdorak Gorge, nor any tourist traffic or stationary shelters. This route is included in the

“IClimb Gold Collection”

- as a high-grade worthy climbing route to the top of Mount Kazbek from Georgia not spoiled by an excess of commercial service.

This variation of the Elbrus climbing program involves the addition to the standard climbing the highest peak in Europe path - the additional acclimatization part, which is held in the Bezengi region of Caucasus - the most technically interesting, safe and comfortable area for mountain climbing in the Caucasus. Adding acclimatization block "Classic of Bezengi" before climbing Elbrus greatly facilitates the task of the main climb, making it not only more possible, but also much safer, as the altitude gain in this case is much slower than in the most standard shortened Elbrus programs.

The program is available for participants who do not have climbing experience and do not have medical contra-indications for exercising sport activities and being in the high mountains. more...

Tetnuld is located in the South spur of the famous Bezengi Wall and with a narrow bridge is connected to Mount Gestola in the Main Caucasian Mountain Range. During the times of USSR by that bridge there was a way to the base of Tetnuld route from Russia (4b Russian Grade), but now because of some geological changes - lowering and melting of Tetnuld glacier, that route is highly dangerous, and officially forbidden as is connected with crossing the Russian-Georgian border. From Georgia (Svanetia), there are two unbelievable beautiful routes to the top of Tetnuld, one of which, the Classic was climbed for the first time in 1887, in the year when the most famous European climbers conquered the most important mountains of the Main Caucasus.

Climb of the volcano Kluchevskaya Sopka is not particularly  difficult technically - the complexity of the program is different. This hard and challeging, climb of Kluchevskaya sopka can be compared to climbing of seventhousanders - extremely hard and long ascent, inability to get a preliminary acclimatization - these factors are the main challenges for the ascension of Kluchevskaya Sopka. In addition, it should be remembered that Kluchevskaya Sopka - is an active volcano, which erupted constantly - in the scientific sense of that - only lava flows from it not every year. In that too, there is a certain specifics of the program - in the event of an unforeseen increase the activity of volcano climbing may not take place for objective reasons. There were cases when the climbing of Kluchevskaya was not possible even in the case of a small activation of volcanic processes - temperature of the cone of volcano rises and because of that begins a continuous rockfall. In other words, getting ready for the ascent to Kluchevskaya Sopka, we must be prepared for any eventuality - that's Kamchatka.
