Ascent of two summits of Mount Elbrus with a descent to the opposite side of the mountain—the classic Mount Elbrus Cross from north to south. This route to Mount Elbrus is suitable for those with previous experience climbing this mountain or similar ascents at altitudes over 5,000 meters. The route presents no technical difficulties but requires considerable physical effort. The Elbrus Cross route is climbed in alpine style, without a heavy backpack.
