Crimea. Spring South Coast rockclimbing Program of MCS AlexClimb
Spring in Crimea. This is not even a season, but absolutely independent phenomenon, out of the time and space:) Even the air of Crimea peninsula becomes bright and filled with some freshness, fragrance of blossoming of many flowers, coolness of the seaside breeze. But if you like to speak of more practical things, the advantage of this season in Crimea is evident - it is warm but not hot, the daylight time is long, the weather is stable. But Crimean spring has flaws, strange as it may seem. First and the most important: especially it is applicable to the first decade of May, which is traditionally the most popular time for visiting Crimea - Crowds everywhere! This makes rockclimbing trainings not so comfortable as it should be. The second and less important - the sea in Crimea in May is still quite fresh and not convenient for swimming. Because of these facts we prefer to realize our Spring Rockclimbing program in the Central part of Crimea which is more or less relieved of crowds.
The Spring Rockclimbing Program of AlexClimb Mountain Climbing School if realized in central part of the Crimean peninsula, in Bakhchisarai town. This choice in not casual. In Bakhchisarai there is plenty of cultural and historic objects (Assumption Orthodox cave monastery, ancient cave cities Chufut Calais, Tepe Kermen, Khan's palace etc.) - great possibilities for sightseeing for the days off or if the weather is not convenient for climbing. Besides that, Bakhchisarai region is rich of good quality limestone rocks, well equipped for rockclimbing. There are many routes of all categories which will be interesting for for beginners as well as for experienced rock climbers!
Together with climbing interest, the unique atmosphere of ancient capital city of the Crimean Tartar Khanate changes our rockclimbing program into bright and exciting adventure! We invite everyone who is interested in rockclimbing and mountaineering to take part in our 10 days winter climbing program in Crimea. It would be interesting for climbers of any competence! This program consists of two different parts mixed with each other – rockclimbing in various Crimean climbing locations and visiting the most interesting historical and sightseeing places which are so numerous in Crimea. Ten days of rockclimbing and sightseeing excursions around all Crimea. Our basic location for this program is the ancient tartar settlement Bakhchisarai, where we live in the comfortable rooms of the best local hotel.
Planning the trip, we take as basis our standard rockclimbing 12 days variant which allows us to combine climbing with sightseeing and recreations. We do not limit ourselves to just climbing rocks - for us it is more than sport - it is our way of life - active, bright and full of adventures! This 12 days rockclimibng program is developed for people, who have small rock climbing experience or have none at all and who would like to try what is rockclimbing. For participation in this program we recommend to take a brief AlexClimb Course of indoor rockclimbing in Moscow to get the basic climbing skills before the beginning of the rockclimbing program in Crimea!

Day 1 - International flight to Simferopol, transfer to Bakhchisarai, hotel accommodation, brief historical review of the area, rockclimbing on the nearest climbing location ("Stadium"), dinner
Day 2 - Morning exercises, breakfast, rockclimbing on the climbing location "Starosel'e Yug", sightseeing excursion to the Khan's Palace, dinner
Day 3 - Morning exercises, breakfast, rockclimbing on the climbing location "Stolby", dinner
Day 4 - (Day off) Morning exercises, breakfast, sightseeing excursion to the Assumption Orthodox cave monastery, ancient cave city Chufut Calais, dinner

Conditions: minimum 6 participants, the brief AlexClimb Course of indoor rockclimbing is recommended before the trip
The price includes: all transfers, private villa accommodation, breakfast, sightseeing excursions according to the program, English speaking rockclimbing instructor, using the communal basic medical kit, rent of the communal climbing equipment (ropes, belaying gear).
The price does not include: Russian visa charges*, International and domestic flight** expenses to and from the point of the beginning of the program (Simferopol), Moscow hotel***, food and sightseeing, climbing insurance (obligatory), rent of the personal equipment, restaurant food and drinks, using the satellite phone.

AlexClimb Rule #1 - Safety First
From the very beginning of our activity, here nearly 16 years, the first Principle of work of School of mountaineering and rock-climbing of MCS AlexClimb is the Safety Priority. On the basis of this Principle all process of training is based, all programs and rounds are developed and carried out only within this main principle. We consider that at professional approach to development of programs, at personal discipline and correctly put motivation - occupations by mountaineering and rock-climbing are COMPLETELY safe. And from the return - all troubles and accidents in our sport come from nonprofessionalism, from ignorance or neglect by elementary standards of safety, from irrational motivation, from revaluation of own forces and opportunities. All these prerequisites we COMPLETELY EXCLUDE in our work - ours Rock-climbing, Ice climbing and Mountaineering are based on one Principle - the Safety Priority. In rock-climbing, mountaineering and ice climbing, the Priority of Safety of MCS AlexClimb-is your personal security and comfort irrespective of, than we are engaged - we train muscles and we work technology of the movement in the sports hall and on the rock climbing wall, we make the way through snowstorm to top or we relax on golden sand of the Caribbean beach after hot day of trainings on rocks. The Safety priority - the main credo of School of mountaineering and rock-climbing of MCS AlexClimb.
AlexClimb Rule #2 - Leave No Trace
Closely interacting with Nature, working with the active programs in mountains, woods, lakes and rivers, we perfectly understand the importance of carefull and respectfull bahavior towards the Nature, for its resources. From the very beginning of our outdoor-activity we adopted rules of Leave No Trace technique - the standard of behavior of the person accepted in all the civilized world in relation to environment and especially - to the wild nature. After all on the relation of people to the nature near which they exist, itself can draw dalekoidushchy conclusions on the relation of these people to... Where and as we didn't travel - we don't reserve any garbage, we try to reduce whenever possible our influence on environment to a minimum. We clear earlier zagryazyonny tourist parking of the left garbage, we take out and we take out to utilization places that to us other people left there. We consider that only thus, at personal individual consciousness of each citizen, each tourist, climber or autotraveller, we will be able to keep the nature surrounding us in its state, natural, suitable for life, - in it pledge of the healthy future for ourselves and our children.
