Codex of the Guide
1. Status of the Guide

1.1 The Guide is in charge of the general management of his group, taking all the measures of safety, maintenance collective in peace and order, protection of the environment, prevention of causing of harm to property and equipment which is under his responsibility.

1.2 The orders of the Guide within the limits of his authority are subject to the fulfillment by all members of the group.

1.3 The Guide has the right in case of necessity to discharge any member of group, whose actions create threat to safety of all the collective.

1.4 In case of occurrence of the force majeure circumstances which can threat safety of the Client and /or make it impossible to continue the trip, the Guide has the right to make the decision on its termination.

1.5 The Guide is not the high-altitude porter nor the cook (if it was not agreed beforehand). Having all necessary skills of rendering of the first medical aid in emergency, the guide is not the professional doctor, and has no right to use the strong medicines.

1.6 Between the Guide and the Client there should not be any relations which are not formal. The Guide - Client relations should be precisely and clearly regulated by the contract signed by both parties prior to the beginning the trip. All ambiguities should be stipulated and registered in the contract.
2.Duties of the Guide

2.1 The guide is obliged in any situation, in spite of circumstances to be guided first of all by the interests of Client.

2.2 The guide is obliged to ensure for the Client the highest possible level of safety, even in the situation when his own safety suffers.

2.3 The guide is obliged to do everything? which depends on him for the success of the trip.

2.4 The guide is obliged, if he is able to do it without exposing his Clients to danger, to assist any person or group which is in an emergency.

2.5 In case of military actions in area of the trip, or in area, through which the group should pass according to the authorized route, and also in other cases of military danger, the guide is obliged to accept all measures for prevention of destruction, capture or causing of harm to his Clients, to do all his best for preservation of the documents, public and personal property.

2.6 In case if some person in the group needs an urgent medical aid, which can not be rendered in field during a trip, the Guide is obliged to arrange the delivery of such person to the nearest inhabited locality, where the help can be rendered.
3. Responsibility of the Guide

3.1 Guide also is human. He can be ill, be in need of help, be not in mood. He, as well as all of us, can have circumstances which can make it impossible to continue a trip. In this case guide completely or partially (at the discretion of the client) loses his fee stipulated by the contract.

P.S. The guide is guarantee of your safety. He accompanies you not for his own pleasure, goes not there, where he would like, carries out duties, which can be other than his personal wishes. Respect another's work! You should understand that the success and safety of our trip in many ways depends on all of us! The success and safety roots in the complete mutual understanding and attention to each other not only while climbing of the mountain, but also in the usual, daily life.
